Every horse and donkey here has a different story, but they're united by the same thing, a fighting spirit and a second chance at Los Sagrados.

Habibi

Habibi found us in the aftermath of Hurricane Odile in 2014, after a hard journey through the Sierra Mountains left his back permanently injured. He had given everything he had. It was time someone gave back.

Today, Habibi is the heart of our equine therapy program. He carries something harder to measure: a presence and stillness that makes people stop, breathe, and remember what actually matters. He runs when he feels like it, gives kisses on demand, leads his herd with quiet authority, and will even join us for the occasional trail ride.
